Transferring partners balance to my credit card

As others have said unitl your partner realises he needs to deal with money and credit in a responsible manner it is pointless transfering the debt as the same will happen again.
I would echo other comments about the fact that the debt would become legally yours when transfered and your full responsibility.
Also it will affect your credit rating if it is a large debt taking up most of the credit on your card.0 -
Don't do it.
He will never learn if you do this. He needs to do it himself. And not holidaying this year or doing a cheapy and putting your normal budget towards his debt would be more helpful towards him realising the sacrafice necessary to clean up this financial mess. And for him accepting his responsibility.
I speak as someone who has both had debt and needed to sort it themselves and as someone who has paid out a fortune on attempting to get someone else to see the light, just to see them in the same situation year later. If I cut you out of my life I can guarantee you handed me the scissors0
