Does anybody know if Aviva will price match?

Just had my house renewal through from Aviva. Does anybody know if they will price match another leading competitor? The reason I ask is I don't want to call them, wait forever in the queuing system and they say NO.

If you can't wait to see just accept the competitor's quote.

Then you make a double saving of your money and your valuable time.

They did on my car insurance this year, the renewal for my multicar policy rose from £320 last year to £460 this year ( for two cars ).

I ran a few quotes with separate policies and came up with £220 + £150 = £370 , they matched that price and when I mentioned I could also get £30 cashback on one of the policies they offered £30 of M&S vouchers to clinch it.

I usually spend much longer searching but family commitments this year meant I didn't have the time.

Last years with Aviva was £320 for two cars minus £80 cashback = £240.

Quite happy to shop around but I have other insurances with Aviva and get extra discounts! If I pull out my other insurances may well go up on renewal. Its a catch 22 situation. Rang them the other day and was in a que for 20 mins. Just thought I would ask the question to see if anybody had tried it.

Really depends on what time you ring, with insurance companies and mobile networks I have found that by ringing as soon as they start on a Saturday morning I usually get straight through.

You have to ring while everyone else is still in bed !!
