Hosting a file online

Options
Need to make a pdf file available via a Facebook page - doesn't seem to be an option to upload it to Facebook, so probably need to host is somewhere online. Ideally free and ideally with a download counter - any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

How about using microsoft skydrive? You can make files public on there and then send people the link, (have the link on facebook) that will allow people to download.

Not sure if it counts how many times it's been downloaded though.

is it of few pages and can it be converted to .jpg and stored on imgbucket etc.

OR use a free web page hosting site.

I don't know how you'd do the download counter, but when I want to host files temporarily, I use the "public" folder of my Dropbox account.

Dropbox allows you to synchronise a particular directory across multiple PCs and Dropbox servers. But you can also generate a public URL for anything in the "public" sub-directory. Post that URL on a website and anyone clicking it will be prompted to download your PDF.

Dropbox or Google Drive should be a good choice.

I would use Google drive if it's for a PDF, it ingrates with Google docs so would be a good fit.
