my dishwasher and washing machine are now out of warranty and i need to have them covered as in the past they always brake down when i'm broke as a disabled person i rely on them constantly i have been to domestic and general web site but they don't cover my kenwood dishwasher so i'm at a loss and since i have no other recommendations i thought i'll ask you who you would and not recommend

why don't you self insure , just open a savings account and save £10 per month , after 2-3 years you will have enough to either replace or repair items0

what about the manu extended warrentee or are you trying to get it cheaper ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
i want a multi warranty for my dishwasher oven and washing machine as last year they all broke and had to wait months for a replacement so if i get a warranty i wont have to worry about it ! NOTHING is built to last any more and i want peace of mind that's all and now there only one store locally that you can buy all of the appliances now that comet has gone it just leaves currys at the moment who are guaranteed to hike their prices due to no competition and before anyone says buy online when it comes to a appliance i like to be able to see it touch before i buy as you will have it a few years (if you are lucky) it's like buying a car you want to see what you are buying before hand0

Listen to what Nickj. posted to you above. Insurers do not operate as a charity. They calculate the likely cost of repairs and replacements over 3 years add on a percentage for their admin costs and a bigger percentage for profit , divide it by 36 and that is the monthly cost to YOU. If you have just bought new do the same yourself, add the cost of buying new divide by 36 and stick that amount in a savings account . You will win: say cost appliances £1000 put away £25 month, I bet an applince insurance will be nearer 50'

You still have to pay a small fee every time you need to call out the repair centre and if they can't fix it economically they will not replace the item but will give you a small contribution towards a replacement based on it's age and expected lifetime.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

British Gas will cover 3 appliances for around £12.50 a month
Up to 3 years old, if unable to repair, it's a 100% contribution toward a replacement appliance.
Over 3, it's 30%.0 -
By all means go and view the appliances at Currys. When you decide what you want to buy, then order them online. Simples!
Avoid purchasing from DSG at all cost if after-sales service is important to you. Most towns also have independent electrical retailers, usually linked to one of the wholesale buying syndicates such as Euronics. Not always quite as cheap, but offering personal service and installation.
Modern white goods are extremely reliable and not likely to break down if you avoid the cheap and nasty budget brands. Go for a lower-range Bosch next time.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
thanks for all your replies i have no local independent electrical stores they have all closed in the recession as for looking in currys then buying online is impossible as the stock that currys sell's is exclusive to that store just like comet and argos that's the problem the more stores close the bigger the problem .i'm getting a quote off britsh gas then when i need to replace them i'll go to John lewis as they all come with a free two years warranty ALL electrical goods do !0

Incorrect. Currys may have a few exclusive models, but the vast majority of their range is available online from the usual other suppliers.
Insuring white goods is very poor value for money, and for a w/m or d/w will not get you any kind of priority repair. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
