How to find a proper personal injury solicitor?

Despite gigabytes of personal injury spam messages around it appears to be terribly difficult to find a proper personal injury solicitor who would deal on real no-win-no-fee basis as opposed to CFA which says client will pay for this, this and that.
So is there a 'compare-the-solicitor' website where I can read feedback from previous clients?
How can I be sure that the solicitor will achieve the best possible deal for me?

Look on the Law Society site for their "Find a solicitor" - look for members of their Personal Injury Panel - these are solicitors who are specialists rather than dabbling generally, then find a few local ones that you can check out.

Most will do CFA basis because that means they get an uplift on their fees (the success fee) but the good ones will not expect you to pay for disbursements or pay interest on quasi loans to fund disbursements or anything else - you want the ones who will give you all your damages and just take what is awarded as costs for themselves. The success fee should come from the other side.

This is exactly where I looked. But this list is not a list of good solicitors, it is a list of all solicitors in the area who ever bothered to register in personal injury subcategory.
    Is there a compare-the-solicitor website?

Also those I spoken to tend to ask whether I have house insurance which covers legal costs. Is it also not a good sign?

Perhaps this Techie Stuff board is not the best place to ask your question. May I suggest posing your question on the pure money board.

Otherwise please choose one or more of the following popular options::)
    • Follow the how to speed up a slow PC stickie.
    • Run Hijack this and post the log.
    • Install malware bytes and perform a quick scan.
    • Do not buy from Currys/PCworld
    • Plug your router directly in the BT test socket
    • More megapixels does not mean it's a better camera
    • Have you tried switching it off and on again.

Association of Personal Injury lawyers are specialists who do regular training in this specialist field.

If you don't want to use one of these, you could always stick a pin in the phone book under solicitors ...

There aren't any feedback sites that I know of, but maybe this will help narrow-down the search: http://www.lawyerlocator.co.uk/
