Lloyds TSB platinum credit card application

I applied online for a Lloyds TSB credit card to transfer my balance from Barclaycard, this was on 20th Feb. The 'no reply' email I received confirmed receipt of the application and said I would receive a response within 4 working days. 2 weeks ago I rang them and they said it was delayed and they would get back to me soon. I've still not heard anything and so rang again today to find out that the office is closed on a Saturday.

I'm so annoyed as they have said I can't apply for another credit card so I'm stuck whilst gaining interest on the balance of my current credit card.

Anyone else experienced this or have any advice?

Nothing to stop you applying for another card elsewhere. As a search has already been made by Lloyds, you likelihood of success or otherwise elsewhere will not be dependent on if you are successful or not with Lloyds.

That's a bit strange. When I applied for their credit card, only one call then everything was sorted, it seemed to me that their customer service were very efficient.
If you have a current account with them, just log into the online banking then you will find out straight away whether your application was approved.
