Booting my PC via mouse

I have set my PC to boot via double mouse click (ps2) in the bios. However it only boots via this method 50% of the time. Anyone know what the issue might be?

Do you ever turn it off at the mains? If my PC loses power it has to be booted from the front button after being reconnected. So long as it remains connected to the mains after it last shuts down, I can boot it via the keyboard or mouse click. I've no idea why...0
