I normally only pay up to £500 for a couple and that's 14 nights either B&B or self catering. Just wondering

£600 for us is cheap.
I tend to get Haven SC for 7 nights - 3bed Silver in August school hols for 8 of us (7 in our family and SIL or MIL come too)
But only because I re-book at the same park each year and they match "this years" price.
Because there are so many of us, an overseas trip is never going to happen (!) and a rare weekend away for OH and I only is about £300.0 -
I am not sure what i would call cheap, really depends on what sort of holiday you are after and what time of the year you are wanting to go at.
We have had 2 weeks 4 star all inclusive for £180 each in Tunisia, week in Cyprus(Paphos) bed & breakfast for £59 each,2 weeks in Malta 4 stars half board for £129 each.
These prices included all supplements, flight meals and transfers.
The week we had in Paphos was the best ever, basic apartments but very clean. We met some lovely people there and had a fantastic week."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -
I used to think that Charlotte (although there's only 2 of us) but we paid £300 to go to the Isle Of Wight for 3 nights, yet we went to Egypt for 14 night for just £500
Where do you get those fantastic deals from then Sloppychops - please do tell0 -
When I did inter-rail I spent around a hundred pounds for food, lodging and entertainment in the course of my month's travel. That is cheap.
When I took my family (four of us) to Switzerland for a week earlier this year, the total cost was around 800 pounds. That was good value, but perhaps a little pricey.0 -
Cheapest holiday we had was our honeymoon, 20 years ago:eek: . Paid £110 each for 4* aparthotel in Majorca for 12 nights. We had a fab room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea, daily maid service which included a full clean of the bathroom and kitchen and all floors. Got chatting to another couple who had paid almost £1000 and were complaining they were overlooking the bins at the back of the hotel. Oops.
Now having to go in school holidays, our August target is always under £1000 for the 3 of us. Sometimes we manage it, sometimes we don't. Last year we went to Fuerteventura in August for £750. We had been to Florida earlier in the year so it had to be cheap. We also went camping for a week at the cost of £14 per night on the Gower!
When we didn't have to go in school holidays then we could go abroad for a week for about £550 for the 3 of us.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
