However, to the person who mentioned deceiving banks. Oh how I'd love to deceive and exploit banks at any possible moment, I despise them and I think rightfully so.

And entering into a fraudulent transaction would give you the moral high ground?

I don't theres anything immoral to it? Very little about banking has anything to do with morality. Banks give everyone an absolutely abysmal deal and take so much for themselves, I have no respect for the banking industry, the world is its slave.

Yea. I don't think much of Tescos, so I'm just off to do a little shoplifting.
    Morality? What's that?

Not quite the same as I'm talking about is it...you've just pulled out a completely different industry? I'm talking about banking, not supermarket chains or retail.

Go ahead and define morality for me, let's get metaphysical.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

And I might add that any jiggery pokery on your part might cause a marker on your credit file so would have the potential to cause you (rather than the banks) grief?

But vengeance and 'justice' are sweet.

Agreed on the second part, I'm not going to go ahead with this for that reason.

Money's money. Why should they care if you've got a kid or not? As people say though, you're risking a fraud accusation, probably not worth it.

I cant stand this kind of discriminatory nonsense from banks. Shouldn't be able to get away with it in this day and age.
Other rubbish. It's not discrimination, it is a commercial offer for people with children under 18. If you think banks should not offer such products, why don't you take them to Court over it. That should make sure you will probably never have any money to put into any account for any kids you might have because you won't win such a Court case and you will get crippled by fees and charges.

However, to the person who mentioned deceiving banks. Oh how I'd love to deceive and exploit banks at any possible moment, I despise them and I think rightfully so.
You might hate them as much as you like, but going on the wrong side of the law for it will only hurt one person - yourself.

The bank has, and will use, means that will expose any false declarations by you They will then make sure you get a 'fraud' marker, which will seriously work against you when you try to open other accounts or apply for loans and mortgages. You can then hate them even more, but you will only have yourself to blame.

It is their right to offer products for certain age etc. groups. Why shouldn't they?

LOL, yes, so true. But he'll have made an extra £3.50 or thereabouts (that's before N&P voided all the interest payments, returned his deposit, closed his account, and banned him for life). Such a good plan.
