Will I still get my NCD??

I have just found out that Ecarinsurance have cancelled my policy a week before it runs out!
I have been having 'fraud' problems with my bank and for some reason it did not let my final car insurance payment go out. I did not know this until I was received a text message from Panacea finance informing me.
I rang Panacea, they told me that they had closed my account and sent it back to Ecar whom I could pay the outstanding balance. I then phoned Ecar who informed me that as it was only sent back to them that morning so they could not take any payment, I had to wait to receive a letter from them, then I could pay. They also told me not to worry as I will still be insured. This was last Tuesday and no letter? Actually I have received a letter.. my car key cover documents that I was suppose to get when I renewed my insurance last year, with an apology for delay due to an admin error!
I only found out that my insurance had be cancelled today as I was searching car insurance deals (as mine runs out next week) and I had to log in to Ecar to retrieve my cars reg plate.
I have emailed them the majority of this thread for info but it takes a while for them to respond. My main worry is my 2 years NCD, will I get them back??
I've only been driving for 2 years and I have only had insurance with this company so I dont know how it all works?
I would be grateful for anybodies help and wisdom.

You don't know your own cars registration plate details?
Cancelled insurance means no NCD for the current year and a premium on future insurance premiums as you will need to declare it on any new policy you take out probably for upto five years.0 -
I realize I am not insured, that is why I am in a bit of a panic as I now need to buy new insurance but I am unsure about my NCD. The price of insurance triples without any NCD (to more than my car is worth)
No I do not know my reg plate, for some reason it will not stick in my head?!0 -
Worse news.. You need to tick that box that you have had insurance cancelled. That will put a lot of the insurers off.
And others will want to charge a lot more. Fail to declare that and another cancelled policy will be on the way. Until nobody will insure you.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
