BT engineer not turning up

Options
I am not very amused as the BT engineer did not turn up to install BT infinity today, which I've been trying to get installed since the middle of November.

Timeline of events (for people to understand my fury):

- Initial appointment during the first week of December (for which I was able to book a day off of work to be around for). It was scheduled 1pm - 6pm; the engineer called at 6:30pm to confirm that he couldn't make it due to how busy they were and that I would need to rebook. I was fine at this stage, because December is quite logically a busy time for a lot of businesses (including my employers).

- 2nd appointment - was able to rebook for New Years Eve; which was fine as again I had the day booked off and would be in.

- Engineer turned up at Christmas Eve to fit Infinity as I was on my way out to visit my parents over Christmas. I explained to the engineer that I had actually booked New Years Eve (and it was still showing on the tracking site as New Years Eve).

- 28th December, I received a text message from BT saying they needed to reschedule my appointment. I called and we rescheduled for the first Thursday in January (which again I managed to get booked off, this time by swapping shifts). I received a text message on the 30th to confirm the appointment.

- The Engineer did not turn up on the Thursday as arranged, but on the friday when I was at work, so they could not install infinity - they also managed to cut the broadband connection I had had until that point and shut down my BT phone line, meaning that when I had to call through to rearrange things / complain - I had to do so on my mobile.

- BT set me up with a user name and password to use BT wifi untill Infinity could be installed / phone line / internet connection, etc fixed, but since then I've been stuck with BT wifi,, which in my area is really rubbish due to al the other signals (especially compared to the broad band I had previously) and they managed to delete my access to it once, which I again had to spend additional time on the phone to them to sort.

- Today: Engineer has not turned up for appointment and BT's order tracking site has deleted / lost my order details. Really angry now as I am still stuck with BT wifi which keeps cutting out!

So tommorow, I now need to call BT to rearrange / reorder because they insist on sending an engineer to replace a phone socket rather than just using adapters that could be plugged in.

I do feel better for venting it here though - if I do decide to change providers, I intend to press BT to waive any charges though - internet for (effectivly) 3 days out of 7 is not what I pay them for.
