Help with contact order please.
I have residency order with a contact in place for ex. Ex not keeping to order IE leaving 8 year son alone or with unsuitable people and also drinking when not allowed in front of son.
I haven't stopped the contact only shortened it a little now EX is taking me back to court, I know I shouldn't break the order but I am concerned for the welfare of our child when he is with EX. Ex hasn't physically abused our son but mentally alot and this was noted in court.
I represent myself as I am on a middle income and don't get legal Aid, Ex on benefits so gets everything free.
What will happen when I go back to court, will I be able to ask the Judge to consider changing the order slightly. Will I be in trouble for not sticking to the order even though I have concerns.
There was a very potential dangerous situation which is the main cause of this which I can't go into detail as it very specific.
I have never stopped Ex seeing our son and I want them to have a relationship but Ex won't see that there was any harm done. We can only communicate via text or letter due to ex's verbal abuse.
What can I expect when we go back to court?
Thanks

And if the contact order says no drinking then your ex has broken the contact order!
You don't need a solicitor, you can represent yourself, in our experience the Clerks at the Court are very helpful.
