please can anyone help

im due to start maternity leave next moth and im having difficulty obtaining my smp1 form from my employer. everytime i ring them they make excuses and say we will post it next week. they have been saying this for the past month. they also say we are busy at the moment we will ring u back. and then they never ring me back.
beacause i need the form to claim maternity allowance. it means im going to be left without money which i rightfully mine. im not sure what to do now
i rang the maternity allowance helpline and they said i just have to get it off them. but i dnt no what to do obtain it.

im not sure y they are being like this as its not as if they are paying me. they have also been meesing my wages up lately. its really stressing me out please can someone advice me as to what i can do

if you can email them , then do so, inform then that you have repeatedly asked them for this form and ask them why they have not sent it, send it to your boss and the HR dept

If you can't email, call the head of the HR dept asking why the the form has not been sent out despite numerous attemts on your behalf, tell them that you will come in to get it

hi yeah they havent got an email address. i have rang the head of HR numerous time and they keep making excuses. when i ring again on monday i know that they are gona say we will get somone to ring you back or we will send it next week. thats all they been saying i have rang them most days over the past month.

go in and see them, demand that they give it to you, if they don't ask them if it's their intention to not give you the form

thanks think i will have to i live in wales though and there department is in walsall . so will take me 3 hours to drive. but i spose ill have to do it.
why is it that employers can treat people like this. thanks for your help

nothing really he just that i have to phone them. to be honest i think they are doin it on purpose as they have been messing my wages up 2 for the past couple of months. i dont no what eles to do other than to drive up there.otherwise im gona b left with no money each month

you must put it into writting stating that you feel that they are being obstructive and ask them if it their intention to be so, they naturally will say no and will then get the form to you

I would suggest that you write to your HR department, give them all the info they need such as when you want to start your maternity leave etc and request the SMP1 form (I guess you have worked out that you would not be entitled to SMP from your employer?) Tell them that you require the SMP1 form without delay (I would go so far as saying within X number of days) Mention that you have requested this form on more than one occassion. If they still fail to send it then go to your local benefits office with a copy of the letter and explain the situation, they should be able to contact your employer on your behalf and find out what the hold up is.

hi yes i only qualify for maternity allowance. yes i have sent in my MATB1 form and my letter stating i wish to start maternity june 4th. i have rang maternity allowance helpline and they said i have to keep ringing HR which i have done.
they also stated it can take a few weeks to process my claim. so im going to be left without money. i have said this to the hr department. they no that its upsetting me now.
