It was the girl who did my application who rang. Apparently according to the salary on my reference I should b taking home £1800 ish a month and there is an £8k shortfall. Bet someone has keyed it in the computer as £28880. If I get 440£ gross per week, and my reference said salary of £22880, where's the shortfall?

Ok so what did Woolwich say when you queried it

Yes like most things on here!!
    No. That isn't the case.

There are many issues raised on here which answer questions people have. Your issues are things that can only be resolved by the organisations concerned.

The last line of your last post confirms you feel the fault is not yours. However, if you do not attempt to resolve it, your application will stop.

Quite often, things happen on mortgage applications which aren't my fault, but I have to sort them out. You're dealing with your own application, so it's down to you, I'm afraid.

She said my reference said i earned x amount per minth, i said it just said approx 22880 salary, it didnt refer to monthly pay. I told her it was calculated just 52. X gross weekly . She said something like it works out there is a shortfall of 800 a month between my reference and payslips. My application form
States my correct weekly gross and net monthley pay , it also has £55 in expenses, next to councilmtax. It doesnt actually say childcare cost on form, just monthly expense

Wait until they confirm they are happy with the income verification. You'll need to give them a few days at least, and don't forget they won't be working over Easter

They want to compare your payslips, P60 and employer's reference to ensure your income and the tax you pay is consistent across the documents they have.

You have done as asked. All you can do now is wait for the outcome.

Ok was just wondering though my p60 is a few hundred £ lower than my stated salary since i had a small raise after april. Would this be a problem?

No. Your 2011/12 P60 shows your income for the last tax year, which ended in April last year. The lender won't be expecting them to match totally.

They will expect the amounts of tax and NI to roughly equate, as your current payslips will be around month 12, or week 48, or 49 and show your cumulative pay to date and tax paid to date for 2012/13.
