Another question about my woolwich application

Options
After applying two weeks ago to port my woolwich mortgage , I rang for an update on it now that I have had survey results back. The lady in the Indian call centre said it had gone to an underwriter and they are requesting my p60.
Why did they not ask for this when I sent all my other documents off? I also don't trust these Indian call centres 100%, could she be wrong?

You will receive a written request for the documentation.

As it is not an unusual request in a mortgage application, it is likely to be correct. Typically, lenders request P60, payslips and bank statements.

Such requests can come at any time. Not just at the outset.

Just had a phone call requesting my p60. Apparently on my employees reference the salary on it didn't match up to my payslips. It said the my salary was £22880, I get £440 per week gross. How is it wrong?

    Ask your employer?

I'm not really sure how we can answer this any other way.

What did Woolwich say when you asked them?

It was the girl who did my application who rang. Apparently according to the salary on my reference I should b taking home £1800 ish a month and there is an £8k shortfall. Bet someone has keyed it in the computer as £28880. If I get 440£ gross per week, and my reference said salary of £22880, where's the shortfall?

Either that or they haven't looked at my payslips properly. I get £55 a week child are voucher as stated on my slip. Bet they've just looked at the net pay without taking this into account

If you sacrifice salary for childcare vouchers, this will reduce your income for mortgage purposes.

However, the lender should reduce the childcare costs taken in affordability to balance things out.

Have you made them aware of this?

You need to speak to your employer and the lender to establish exactly what is going on here. This needs sorting in the "real world," not on here.

Yes I gave her all the numbers on my payslip and the ££55 per week is included in my expenses. If its a mistake it's hers not mine.
