Paid employment for 14yo daughter

Hope someone can help me. My DD is 14 and is looking to earn some money to fund her spends for a school trip to France in June (and one to Italy next year). She's confident and friendly, and has no trouble talking to all sorts of people.
We don't know anyone who needs a babysitter, and are reluctant to have her posting a *job wanted* ad in the newsagent's window.
No shops need young staff atm.
I've just paid her to mow the lawn. I've never paid my children for chores before - they do them as they're part of the family. However, the lawn takes an hour, I don't enjoy doing it, and it gave her a sense of satisfaction to earn her first money.
Any suggestions as to what else she might try?
Many thanks, Penny. x

Most shops wont employ people under 16 years of age for various reason. If you are quite close with people around you area she could ask if they have any odd jobs they need doing for abit of money. She could apply for a job on the local market (Usually a very long waiting list & Most times need to know someone connected to it to get a job.) I think the best thing she can do it a paper round. If she is really eager to earn she could do more than one as i did years ago you can earn a decent amount a week for 2 rounds (i used to earn £25pw for 1 in the morning & 1 in the evenings)Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0

Could she, with your help, do a boot sale or sell her old toys and clothes on ebay?0

Restaurants always need help in the kitchen - washing up is a favourite. What about a garden centre or nursery? That's where I worked when I was 15.0

I was a waitress when I was 14. Actually I was general kitchen scivvy aswell - there wasn't a washer upper so the waitresses had to do that aswell, and lay out the starter and deserts after the chef had cooked them! Hard work but I really enjoyed it and made £70 a week.
It was in a private members only type club thing, so I don't know if regular restaurants hire under 16s? I also had a paper round at 13, I hated that!Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0 -

Looks like she's restricted in how many hours she does. What about a paper round?0 -
Fruit picking season is comming up.
Weekly delivery of the local free paper.
Paper round
As she is 14 she will probably have problems getting paid work through the bigger firms who always requested NI numbers when i applied at that age. I did work from 14 to 16 in a corner shop but worked many more hours than i was legally allowed to do."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
