I have a daughter aged 17, currently in sixth form, taking A-levels this summer. She will be 18 in July. She is considering starting a year-long, full time Foundation Diploma in September, then perhaps doing a degree afterwards. I don't think she will count as a qualifying young person for Child Benefit or Tax Credits after her A-levels, but I haven't actually found anything that says a Foundation Diploma is advanced education. Does anyone know?
PPI on Natwest loan, Barclayloan, MBNA credit card, and Mortgagecare all repaid just for asking in 2012/2013!

Barclaycard - PPI refund refused 26/01/13, ombudsman upheld 12 May 2014, Barclays resisted until March 2015 - FOS say Barclays are calculating an offer, they have 8 weeks.

Is this the Foundation Diploma in art? If it is then it's a level 3 course (non advanced FE) and the child related benefits for her will continue.
  • Yes, it's Art. Thanks!
