You can usually share it - how you share it is up to you, most people tend to go down the wireless route, which unless orange have already provided a wireless router/access point to you will need some new hardware and a little bit of setting up.
If you just want to use the net without using both PC and laptop on it at the same time just set up your laptop in the same way you set up the desktop to use orange and swap the modem over when you want to use the pc on the net again.
Hope this helpsSignature No Longer acceptable -

Which modem are you using for the Orange connection? There may be an issue if your new laptop OS is Vista and this may require new modem drivers (if available). If you have the Orange Livebox then you can simply connect by wireless or by Ethernet (LAN) network cable.0

My adsl router connects to my desktop pc using a usb connection. The router also has an ethernet connection so as I was using my laptop in the same room I could plug it in to this connector with the cable supplied with the router. If that suits you then it may be a zero cost way of connecting both pcs.
I expect to upgrade to wireless in the future but am putting off the cost until I need the flexibility to connect in different rooms.Nice to save.0
