I have posted a thread on debt free but think it my get more replys here .

I have started an IVA and natwest has downgraded my current account to a basic account :(

They have offered me a silver account which i have to pay £10 per month ( i get other benifits for this £10 per month free films , phone insurance ect )

What is the difference between a normal current account and a silver account ? They look the same to me

Just wondering why they taken my current account off me and made me have a basic account (i understand the bit that i am on a IVA so its standered to just offer a basic account )
But why let me have a silver account ?

You'll still have a basic (full authorisation) account, just with Silver benefits added - you'll also be able to use your card in non NatWest/RBS/Tesco ATMs.

What account did you have before? I don't know why they'd offer you a silver account if you're going through an IVA, I thought it was credit restricted.
    I work for Natwest.

Some are some aren't depending on the customer circumstances.

I'm guessing in this instance the OP is being offered the credit strutted version.
