If clearing your cache doesn't work, try installing 'Tor'. It is free & when running, will move your IP to another country entirely.

If you have a mobile phone with internet access you can probably get in to view the website from that, as it won't have the same IP address as your computer.

Or (the low tech solution), try to re-reg from another PC in order to view the site.
Most forums let you view without being registered or logged in though.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Clearing cache didn't work but I sent an email to the administrator and a week later I tried the site again and was able to access it.

Glad you got back in, did the administrator ever enlighten you on what they thought you had done wrong?

If you have a Yahoo or btinternet email account you are likely to have spammed many without knowing it.

    Change your email account password.

I don't see what this has to do with the OP being barred from a forum.

No I was not told. I was not even sent an email saying access had been given back. I only knew I had access when I tried the page and was allowed to access it. The same password worked for my account.
