Got a call from the broker today, they have asked to see proof of deposit? I have got all my deposit in my saving account which is 15%. I have been saving for years now.
Is this a good sign? had anyone else been ask to provide proof of deposit.0 -
I think all is ok, they just want to see proof before the mortgage offer is made0

It's routine. Any lender can ask for evidence of deposit.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It's neither one thing nor the other. It's just one of the usual requirements. You can't and shouldn't read anything into it.I am a mortgage broker. I am abit confused and hopefully someone can give me some advise.
I have received the mortgage offer by post today, but also got a call from my broker to say the bank has asked to see the proof of deposit.
So i have provided all the information for example how I saved up for the deposit, all the bank statements.
My question is, is this a normal thing when they offer the mortgage and then ask for the proof of deposit.
also should I give the go ahead to my solicitors?0
