A quick and inexpensive way to make a passport photograph of a week old baby?

It is time to apply for a first passport for my baby. Of course, Home Office requires photographs no matter how old is the baby. I do not think photo booth with its three attempts would work in this case. I want to make a photograph on camera myself but then I need a service which will zoom the photo, print and post it to me.
Could you recommend something like this?
Or what could be the other possible solutions?

Go to a chemist - lots of them take the photos on the digital cameras - so you get a lot of attempts.
Mine cost £2.50 for 4 photos the last time I got it done.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
If you can take the photo yourself and upload it to one of the online photo printing services, they will be able to print it at passport size and send it to you. I've always used Photobox with no problems.
But it's getting the photo itself right that is tricky - we have a photographer on the high street who will take and print a passport photo for £10. It might be a lot easier than trying to photograph a baby yourself.0 -
Photobox do passport photos - probably other online photo printers, too. See here.0

You could try irfanview, left click and hold on a part of the image, then drag the mouse to include the parts you need, click edit, click crop selection. You can then click image, resize to get the measurements exact.

Thanks to everyone replied. What I am going to struggle is choosing the right zoom / head proportions against the photo size. Is there a tool similar to this American one http://travel.state.gov/_res/flash/cropper/FIG_cropper.html ?0

Could you not just use a camera yourself and take loads of photo's.
One idea i saw recently, was to get partner to lie down on floor, cover in white sheet and lay baby on there chest, whilst they hold the baby around waist, helps keep the child carm.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Get a quote from a local photographer. Ours charges about the same as a photobooth for passport photos. They will show you how to hold the baby but so your arm can't be viewed. Our DD was a baby at the time but not quite that young.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Congratulations on your new baby.
Find a suitable picture of a similar looking baby on the internet and use that.
Who is going to know?0 -
I've used http://www.idphoto4you.com/ many times for passports, visas and driving license. You have to take the photo yourself with a suitable background and upload it to this website and select the country you need.0

Just to add to the above reply, the website is free. You can take the image produced by the website to ASDA, Boots or any shop that prints photos off your memory card and print it on a 6x4 postcard format. 19p in total for 8 passport size photos :-)
