Hi All
I bought my family Merlin passses last year with good intentions of visiting one place each month - hasn't happened due to life, work and money :-(
Kids break up next Thursday and I've decided we're going to use the darn things before they expire so planning a few days worth of trips...Any advice on whether this 'plan' makes sense - in terms of timing and also whether attractions will be busier on certain days?
I've read that Good Friday and Bank Holiday Mondays are generally quiet at attractions - so thinking:
London on Good Friday 29th
Chessington on Saturday 30th
Thorpe Park Sunday 31st- drive back to Birmingham
Home to recover on Monday :-)
Will book travelodges - which are coming to under £40 per night. Will also be taking our own food as much as we can and having cheap as we can find evening meals :-)
Are we likely to fit in London Eye, Aquarium and Madame T all on one Day??
Wednesday - Legoland Discovery Centre & Manchester Trafford -
worth driving up to a black pool travelodge or anything else to do in Manchester?
Thursday - Blackpool Tower - looks like there is enough there for the whole day - so will drive home in the evening
We have 1 premium pass and rest are standard. Kids are 8 and 10 year old boys.
Any comments, or experience anyone has to share please? Will be doing it all on a budget, so am flexible to amend the plans to take into account any suggestions people may have!
Thanks so much x

We have passes too and that looks like a lot to squeeze in
you should fit in the 3 London ones in one day ok, the queues are likely to take longer than being in the attraction itself, I know mt's has a seperate queue for pass holders ( the normal one is miles long at all times)
The only thing that would worry me would be driving back to birmingham after a few long days in a row.
I hope you have a good time, we are off to alton towers next week lets hope the weather improves for us all, have fun!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I have a Merlin pass and on my last trip in Jan we queued in the pass queue for over half an hour in the rain, So having a pass doesn't stop you having to queue.
We have done all 3 in one day, totally tired by the end of the day but worth it.
Have a great time0 -
Tbh i would give madame tussards a miss and do london dungeon instead
Also, the eye, aquariaum and dungeons are next to each other! So no travelling times to factor in0 -
MTs isn't that far from the other London attractions. I'd say if you want to do it either go first thing in the morning or about 2 hours before closing, it is empty then!0

Thanks guys for your replies. I thought the dungeon was for adults for some reason?? Boys will totally love it - so will do the eye, dungeon and sea life all in one - and pop in to Madame T's just before they close. Thanks for the great advice!0
