If its a UK hire, sue them for the difference via money claim online.I booked car hire with Avis at a cost of £1,278. They have now charged my card £3785. They refuse to discuss it and claim it represents what I signed for. This is patently wrong. How can I get their claim reviewed?

They are a professional outfit - I cant really believe they have refused to tell you what they have charged you for.
You will have agreed to various other charges at some point - insurance, CDW, Fuel, etc.
Did you return to the same depot as you hired from ?0 -
What does it say on the invoice? All charges should be itemised.
Are you sure thats the final total and there isnt a preauth on the card as well that will go after a few days?0 -
