personally I think it was quite prudent in this case considering there were so many parts!

Not really - the time could have been better spent taping the part somewhere it could be seen :D

Why though, it won't stop a SNAD. And hasn't helped you with this situation.

Who knows, maybe OCD gone mad!

Loveinituk - thanks for all your sensible advice.

That was before you shared with us the fact that you video yourself packing all your parcels for safety. I am still tickled by this.

I look foward to the day Ebay allow video evidence in their claims procedure. Should only take a few hours per claim x 20 million people. :D

I also wonder how a video works. I pack my china tea set and then remove one of the tea cups and replace it with a broken one that I dropped before I listed the set. I assume eBay can't afford forensic scientists to check whether the sealing of the box on the video is exactly that same as it was handed in over the counter at the courier shop.

    Videoing, really ?
It's the same as people saying I photographed the dress before I sent it, only omitting to mention I photographed it Friday morning, wore it all day Friday and dropped it off at PO soiled and tatty on the Friday evening.

  • Actually, CCTV over a dispatch desk would be quite easy to do. I write down batch numbers that go to each customer, and while it's needed extremely rare if ever, it is interesting to see someone squirm when then claim wrong item received and don't know the product or batch number.
