Trying to pay for an item

Hi, I won an item today and paid via paypal. It stated 'processing' and after following link from ebay it stated 'seller not registered'. (I thought all ebayers had to be listed with paypal). So after messaging the seller regarding paying on collection I cancelled the payment.

I've sent numerous messages to which I've had no reply but received one short message asking me why I've cancelled the payment. I really can't make sense of it. I just want to pay for and pick up what I've won. I've tried paying via paypal again but the same thing is happening. Help!

Chances are they've entered their paypal email address incorrectly.
Ask the seller to check what email they've put in.
If you're collecting an item, they may have done it on purpose to prevent you paying via PP.

Thank you for your reply. I got in touch with ebay last night and they more or less said the same as you. I just couldn't understand why paypal didn't work. I've now managed to contact the seller and am paying on collection (fingers crossed).
