Advice of process to sort out duplicate credit card transaction

On an overseas hotel check out I paid a bill by credit card. I discovered the transaction was charged twice to my credit card at that time. I contacted the hotel to advise they had double charged me, they basically asked me to prove it, I contacted my credit card company and they supplied me with the authorisation codes for the 2 transactions, eventually the hotel advised they would refund the amount. This is almost 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing further. I contacted my credit card company to get assistance they have advised I must wait 15 days from the date the hotel agreed to refund, is this standard practice? Is chargeback something I can pursue if I hear nothing further? Does anyone have any advice. Thanks

Since it was nearly 2 weeks ago, contact your bank on the 15th day?

But they do have 30 days to refund you so when it hits 15 days, go straight for the chargeback.

Duplicate overseas can be chargedback straight away and does not have a 15 day timescale. Only UK bassed duplicated have this timescale.
15 days to me sounds like they are looking at non reciept of refund.
For this you would need to have something in writing stating that Hotel, refunded £xx on xx-xx-xx to card end 1234.
Without that you cannot chargeback non reciept.

Sounds to me like someone got UK and internationl timescales confused.
Never ASSUME anything its makes a
