Matters not who they are working for, if you dont have a contract with them, then they can not enforce anything.
Your Contract is with the Legal entity you signed it with, between you and them only.
Unless the contracted entity start billing dont worry.
Write NO CONTRACT and send it back.
    Be happy...;)

Check on the contract/finance providers website to see if they are a member of the BVRLA. Also check the BVRLA website - there are accepted descriptions for scratches and dents that fall in/out of fair wear & tear.

I've recently returned a Citroen and suspect that as they are all part of PSA group it may be a similar process.

Citroen contract Manheim Auctions to perform collections on their behalf. The guy arrived and spent about 20 minutes going over the car noting all the defects and then provided a print out detailing his findings and the cost of the repairs (£160 in my case)

I was not asked to pay anything at this point, and the guy drove off in the car. About 10 days later I received a letter from PSA finance telling me that there was £160 worth of damage found on the car, but due to the low value they would not ask me to pay.

Now, I often read stories on here of people moaning about being charged for non existent damage, but to be fair everything that the guy found on my car I was already aware of and expected to be charged for.

What paperwork did they leave when they collected the car?
