Seller mix-up

Hi folks,
I won an auction for some wireless HD equipment however the seller has sent me the wrong item and I suspect have sent my items to another customer. They've said they'll look into it (This was on Monday night) and I'm still waiting to hear from them. I should mention this was faulty equipment that I only wanted parts from for the setup I already have.
Is it unreasonable to expect that when I return the items to the seller that they pay the postage costs and give a full refund?

It is not unreasonable - but it does not mean you will necessarily get the return postage as the seller only has to refund the original price plus postage that you paid when purchasing the item. But a good seller would refund return postage too especially they made the mistake in posting the wrong item in the first place.0

What usually follows is the seller giving you they other buyer's address and a partial refund to cover cost of posting what you have to the correct buyer.
Then you hope the other buyer posts you your item!
Either way the seller should resolve, although as stated you may have to cover postage if you end up sending it back to the seller.
