advice needed son has residency what rights does his ex have

  • i asked the sw about her extended family her answer was its up to my son what he does as his got residency but none has unsupervised and cos of that it will affect his private life as it will be like a drop in centre which she advises not to do it
    sw said all the contact was the mother and judge only said mother

    Then he needs to say no to the extended family, particularly if he feels they'd attack him. (Lynch mob?)

    It's great that the grandparents are having contact in your home.

    If you're totally comfortable with it and SW agrees, maybe an uncle, aunt, cousin or similar could occasionally come along with the grandparents. But that would really depend on their behaviour, how you feel and what the SW advises.

  • we have suggested that but the sw said no need, the chldren are settled and in a routiine i think the sw is worried its going to set the children bk by having too much contact
    my son has had to work very hard to get tthem in a routine, regular meals, better diet they have now been signed off by docs etc
    oldest child is not an angry little boy any more dont swear etc
    and his done a lot of work with them both sharing love etc
    contact between grandparents is getting better although they dont play with them it feels that its just a chance to get info from us but we try to encorage them to be more involved as they are supposed to be there 4 kids
