We welcome the increase in fuel prices, this will force people into using less fuel and insulating their homes.
It will also enable us to cover more of the countryside with windturbines and pee of all those Torieees who live there.
In addition all those smug solar PV owners on the ethical thread can continue to enjoy their subsidised FIT payments. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Standing charges are being reintroduced as a result of pressure from consumer groups who represent people too dim to be able to work out whether they are getting the best price for their energy, or just can't be arsed. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

That article is a hack Job, what OFGEM actually stated is that this year, last years and next years margins would remain relatively stable. Not go from £30 to £110.
10% increase every year has been the general 5 year forecast for a while.0 -
Only for average users. Low users regularly face 50 percent or 150 percent increases. All the utterings from Ofgem indicate there is no provision or will to shield them from absolute increases rather than the pro rata bumps average consumers face.10% increase every year has been the general 5 year forecast for a while.0
