Can't believe we are in the last week of March already. Meal planning has gone really well this month for me and I am back in control of the grocery budget again. I have been putting the money underspent each week in a seperate purse this month and have £22.50 in there :money:. Thought I might save it up and use for a family treat at some point.
Meal plan for next week,
Saturday - Spicy Chicken and Ribs with Salad and Vegetable Rice
Sunday - Chicken and Gammon Pie with Potatoes and Beans (DD request as also didn't have last week)
Monday - Slowcooked Beef Casserole with Yorkshire Puddings
Tuesday - Chicken Chowmein (didn't have this week as inlaws treat us to dinner one day)
Wednesday - I'm out with the girls for dinner so Ravioli in HM Veg Soup and Garlic Bread for DD and OH
Thursday - Jambalaya
Friday - Fish and Chips planning on HM but may be persuaded by the Chippy
Breakfasts will be Fruit, Cereal and Cereal Bars
Lunches will be sandwiches, wraps, salads or leftovers
Might make some breakfast muffins for breakfast as haven't had those for a while and some ginger cakes will see how I feel.
Looking forward to seeing everyones meal plans

Really hoping i can stick to this, as i work FT i struggle to stick to plans sometimes because of differing shifts in work, and because i live alone, sometimes i come home, clean then cant be bothered so i've been trying to sort things on my days off ready for when i am in work. I've even been making sure i take packed lunches to work as this will help me save money as will meal planning hopefully0 -

Kitchenbunny - yes I find that too, meal planning saves me loads of time as I'm not wandering about wondering what to make for dinner and being unable to think of what I need to buy in the shops.
Mon - fish pie & veg
Tue - black bean chicken stirfry (packet sauce) with noodles
Wed - bacon & tomato pasta
Thur - prawn curry & rice
Fri - mushroom risotto
Sat & Sun - we're away for a week, I just have to do packed lunch for the train on Saturday.0 -
Hello everyone! Anyone else celebrating Passover on Monday? I always make the mistake of hosting so have absolutely loads of people coming over, but they should be bringing some of their own food so hopefully not too pricey.
As you'll see from the list I'm not keeping the traditional no leavening for 7 days rule, Im only properly Jewish for ceremonies that involve lots of booze
Tonight - Out with a friend
Tomorrow - out for date night
Sunday - finally making quiche! Have had this in the new recipe que for ages and ages... Also cooking as much in advance as possible for Monday
Monday - Layla Seder, so will have to make Charoset, Matza etc. As my contribution to the meal will make a big shakshouka, veg stir fry, fruit salad and a roast chicken
Tuesday - out for a drink with a friend but leftover quiche after
Wednesday - Seder leftovers
Thursday - Chicken Carcatore with pastaMortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
