Read the back of your ticket if you park in a Vinci car park

I have just bought a ticket to park at a Vinci Pay and Display car park in Bedford. No problem.
But I happened to read the back of the ticket and it said that the P&D ticket was issued by a completely different company with a different address.
It struck me, therefore, that, should I have received a Parking Charge for any contravention from Vinci, I could genuinely claim that as I had paid a different company for the service (parking) and, therefore, Vinci had no claim whatsoever, whatever their notices may say.
No need for anyone to tell me that no PCN is valid or a scam - I know - but for anyone who does buy a P&D ticket, check the back to see if the issuing PPC is the same one who is claiming any PCN amounts. That should be an easy one for POPLA to decide on.
What was the PPC that was printed on the ticket? Sorry, can't remember as on the way out, I gave my ticket to a motorist driving in as the ticket had over an hour and a half left on it !! :rotfl::rotfl:

But the money from a p&d normally goes to the landowner, so unless they own it I would think that it must be differentWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The basis for the whole PPC scam is that they claim that you enter into a contract with them by virtue of reading the T&Cs on a notice in the car park. If when you make a payment it is to some other company entirely then how could you be entering into a contract with the PPC? A contract consists of an offer, a consideration & an acceptance. The payment (consideration) can't go to a third party.0

Been parking in a Vinci carpark in Bedford (by the hospital) 2 or 3 times a week for the last two months and stopped buying tickets after the first two weeks. Never got a ticket.
I would suspect they are not pursuing as their "charge" is only £20.00. And probably not even worth checking.
Think it is part of the maintenance deal for the whole hospital but no priority.0 -
For the avoidance of doubt, none of the regular contributors to this forum endorse ILW's intentional non-payment of legitimate parking charges.
I do wonder whether ILW is a PPC troll, who's setting him/herself up to be taken to court and lose...0 -

I am a regular contributor to this forum.
I also have no connection with an PPCs.
Also not telling anyone whether they should pay or not, that is entirely up to the individual.0 -

If you see any motorist leaving, and assuming they bought a ticket, then see what it says on the back of the ticket.0 -

I am pretty sure with that post count ILW is NOT connected with PPCs.
Don't agree with not paying legitimate charges myself, but certainly Hospital parking charges can be extortionate for legitimate patients and visitors.0
