If your circumstances change then you should inform the DLA office.

Circumstances havent changed at all,my sister renewed her claim, and they lowered the rate she was entitled to,but nothing has changed for her since the last award, except shes in a bit more pain now!,the problem was that they contacted her health centre, and a dr filled in the form, but this doc didnt know my sis,and hadnt examined her.I know she should've appealed straight away, but she was distressed, worried about money, and for reasons known only to her, didnt appeal in time, now they wont let her appeal, even though she has a report from her own doc, stating that this other doc was talking rubbish about a patient they never knew.
This is why i wondered if you could end a claim, and then re-apply,so that you can get them to take the correct info into consideration?

She can ask for a review of her case - that's what I did. A form will be sent out (much shorter) which you fill in and send back. Basically the whole claim is looked at again. If the award is increased, it will only be dated from when you asked for the review and not the beginning of the claim. If you feel the review decision is not correct you can appeal as before.

anyone can reapply for DLA,looks like your sister is timed out ,you have to appeal within a certain time frame.
About 8 out of 10 new claims are refused but 6 out of ten decisions are changed
on appeal but you MUST appeal within about 4 weeks as i recall.
