There is no catalogue section, so please excuse me for posting here.

I have just signed up to "VERY", with a starting limit of £1000. I got £10 off my first order and also used a voucher for £30 as I wanted to take advantage. I have now received my item. I would like to know just what have I committed to? Do I have to stay with them for a certain period of time? Do I have to buy x amount of items?. The terms and conditions are a mile long so sod that.

Is this a joke? The terms and conditions are too long for you to read but you expect someone else to?

What would you say if someone came back and said you had committed to spending your whole credit limit?
    ;)

When we've had catalogues in the past there have been no conditions about having to buy more items.
No idea about how long you have to keep the account open for. Any reason not to leave it unused now you've got what you want?

Anyone already familiar with the T&C, please help. Cheers.

PS Ordered item for £75 and got a total of £40 off.

No commitment at all. I'd leave it 30 days though.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Remember the fact that you've just had a credit search though to open the account.

I am not normally one to criticise about these things but don't you see how dangerous it is to sign up for something when you don't know what you have committed to???

    Thankfully for you there is no committment other than to either;
    a. Pay in full when you get the statement
    b. Pay 1/3rd of the bill, which is "take 3", so you pay it over 3 statements interest free.
    c. Pay the minimum and end up repaying a lot more than than you spent in the first place.

The T&C's will also have your APR on, which will probably be around 35 - 45%. In other words don't pick option c above!

    Hope that explains it?

That is a great help, thank you. I will try in future not to be so impulsive, it's just when I saw that £30 discount voucher on another website (not "Very") I could not resist. I just love to get a bargain.:)

I've twice signed up with them using vouchers, waited for the statement then paid the account off and requested it be closed. Caused no trouble.
