Had a letter today saying they couldnt book my date / park choices

well i did only put down one end Aug date :rotfl:

But I have now booked online one of the few remaining parks available on that date ..............

We used to holiday in Rhyl area etc, a lot when I was small and took our 2 sons there for a few days in 2005 and they seemed to like it :rotfl:

I looked online and it should be £300 for that date and we will be paying £75 so not a bad saving,:beer: and just a few days break before the boys go back to school is what we want

any feedback on this park would be greatly appreciated ! good and bad :rotfl:

Rachie, I went to that Pontins about six or seven years ago. To be brutally honest it was pretty grim. There was a weird scum on top of the swimming pool that I've never been able to rid myself of the recollection of and the accomodation was very low standard.

Went we went we had a pretty grim time as the weather was dire. If you get good weather it is a very nice area and I'm sure you could have some great trips out. I would give a bit of thought to this so you've got some ideas for what to do.

Also perhaps it has enjoyed a refurb/revamp in the past few years.

thanks ruthy,like i said i want to be prepared !!

i guess if i expect the worst and it turns out to be a bit better then i will be happy lol

i will be complaining if the accom / pool etc is rank though !!

we plan to have a day out in Rhyl on the sat,the boys love the sea life place and the sun center ( if not beach weather!)

and def a trip to the mountain zoo again in Colwyn Bay ,on the sunday

so we wont actually spend a great deal of time on site TBH ! just be somewhere to sleep lol

i booked mine back in feb/march when they came round the first time, but a friend wants to book one now but has lost her form.

does anyone know if you needed the same codes as before, or can she just ring and see if there's anything left?
