Contents Insurance - Why Such A Huge Difference In Price?

Hi
I have just received my renewal contents insurance for the next 12 months.
I have just used Moneysupermarket, and have obtained a lower quote by at least £50:00, one thing I don't understand and hopefully someone can explain, why is there such a huge difference in quotes, the new quote I have just obtained has no excess, more benefits etc, compared to my renewal, I just cannot get my head round it.

Don't be the least bit surprized by a £50.00 difference. One of the main reasons is that considerable discounts are applied to new policies but not to renewals as a incentive for you to switch policies.0
