Azorieblue coffee special offers - beware

I placed an order online from Azorieblue .co.uk as a result of an emailed special offer. In a nutshell, the money was taken but I didn't receive the goods.
After numerous emails, web contact forms, unanswered telephone calls & letters, I finally received the order with items missing and some not as described and not of satisfactory quality.
My receipt is from Azorieblue Ltd, which I now find was dissolved some years ago.p
All email and written contact is being ignored and there are a number of disgruntled customers posting on their Facebook page, although posts (including mine) appear to be regularly deleted. I am no nearer to receiving the correct goods or a refund.
Be wary of purchasing from their website!

I have been a customer of Azorieblue for many years and they have always been 'unreliable'. Up to 3 or 4 weeks for delivery. I always put it down to just one of those things.........
I received an offer via their email mailing list in mid January, and have yet to receive the full order I paid for.
After weeks of chasing, and being told that my order had "shipped", some of the order arrived and I am now chasing them again to get the remainder or a refund.
Unfortunately I paid via PayPal and the 45 day dispute limit has long gone. And I'm not sure I can still contact the credit card people, seems unclear.
I was also surprised to see that they dissolved the old company and then setup a new one to sell the same product with the same brand name. :huh:0 -
How did you pay? (Question is to both of you).0

You can try.
Its going to depend on who you speak too.
In reality your CC paid paypal to transfer funds to the company. As such they have done what was asked of them
But a chargeback can be actioned. Just paypal can reject with the above reason. Or they may take the c/b and reclaim the money from the company.
Nothing ventured nothing gained is the moto here.
For future reference.
Pay direct via Debit or Credit card.
If the goods do not then arrive in 15 days of the debit date. Then get card provider to action a non reciept chargeback.
You will only need to send the co one email chasing the order, do it on day 14 and simply ask where the goods are.
This is a simple one, requires no paperwork (unless its a part chargeback) and will see you refunded in a couple of days while the co has 45 days to provide proof that they have fully delivered the goods. (read need signed proof by you)
Good news is every chargeback costs the company money...Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a try.dalesrider wrote: »You can try.

I don't think there was any other payment type available other than Paypal, but I'm not certain.
If there is then I will avoid it in future as it just seems to complicate matters.0 -
If the company was dissolved a few years ago then you can't possibly have formed a contract with the company as it does not exist. This being the case, if I was to pursue it via the courts i'd issue a claim against the business owner on the grounds the name was merely a trading name of his and not a separate legal entity.
As for the chargeback.... even if the bank agree to put it through. PayPal will likely defend it on the grounds you paid the money to them and they have not breached your agreement leaving you chasing the business directly.
Although this isn't always the case, some have had success doing this.0
