Exit Fee , abbey offering £4

Thanks UK007. Indeed, I was just pointing out that these fees are never called repayment fees in mortgage contracts. Repayment fee is actually more likely to be the name for an early repayment charge (ERC), which is something completely different.

Respecfully to MarkyMarkD and UK007, Abbey does indeed call them Repayment Fees. Do a google on "repayment fee abbey" and the first item returned is Abbey's PDF on "understanding the costs of your mortgage". Page 3 details the "Repayment Fee" of £225 "charged when you close your mortgage"

If you were originally quoted £95 which will be on your old mortgage offer then it is correct.0

I Presume that it may have said 95 on my mortgage details then... or have some others been sent back £4 , objected and then sent the difference from £225 ...0 -
Many apologies - I've amended my post accordingly. I've never heard them called that by Abbey (or anyone else). No excuse for being wrong, though.bradthiele wrote: »Respecfully to MarkyMarkD and UK007, Abbey does indeed call them Repayment Fees. I don't understand why you think you'll be refunded the difference between £225 and £95 when you were only charged £99. That simply isn't going to happen. Why do you still believe you've been over-charged?

Whatever bradthiele says, I don't see anything clever about asking for money you aren't entitled to and bolshing your (ex?)-lender around until they pay up. That's simply bullying.0 -

From what i understand of the charges they should only be charging 50.. not 95 .. hence the question . If i wasnt charged 225... which i dont know either way and i'm replying on them telling me the truth , then im not demanding that , ... it wouldnt be fair.
didnt get the gforce tesco comment. . . explain ?0 -
