We bought a new mattress in November, a climacool memory foam. I don't think I have had more than 10 good nights since then. I am sooo hot that I kick off all the covers, then go cold, then cover up and so it goes. The damn thing cost a fortune and I hate it. Sorry, OP no advice, just deep sympathy.0

i have read that memory foam ones get too warm and people have ended up putting mattress toppers on them you could maybe try to see if that helps
mines is actually a pillow top one been looking on silent nights website says it designed to prevent over heating are they serious im waking up soaked in sweat
this is the bed in question http://www.silentnight.co.uk/classics/gianna/
was considering turning it over and sleeping on the spring side anyone tried this .0 -
In the past we used an old blanket as an under blanket. When we got our new mattress it had to go as it made the bed far too hot.
Ours has a climadry cover and is latex on springs, all the heating is now off in the bedroom and once Spring finally gets here the windows will be open until the end of September.
Lower tog Duvet might help? You just need to adjust things one thing at a time.0 -

10.5 is hotter than 7.5.
If you can get hold of a summer+winter one they have 2 parts - 1 9 tog and one 4.5 tog. Neither will be very thin.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Interesting "The mattress features EcoComfort Fibre® technology which is
scientifically proven to keep you cooler through the night with
breathable air vents to keep you comfier and cooler at night"
Guess it doesn't work very well then!Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Get rid of the mattress covers and try and find/buy an old fashioned cotton cellular blanket- they allow air to circulate. Works wonders!0

I think it's worth turning it over and sleeping on the other side, if you're not sleeping too well at the moment, what harm can it do.
Are you able to unpick the mattress topper at all and remove it.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
