Hi all,

Me and my nephew are due to go to the States this July, and I definitely need something that I can record videos with since my Galaxy Note will die straight away on that front, so a HD Camcorder is needed.

I've taken a look at the Samsung HMX-Q10, which was £89.99 on Argos eBay, but it went out of stock and I was wondering if there are any you would recommend that are under £90-£100? I know this is a tight budget for a HD Camera but the holiday is costing enough as it is :/

I liked the Q10 because videos on YouTube tests were clear, and audio sounded exactly like the ones you hear from big-name YouTubers.

Thanks in advance!

I've got a Panasonic HX-DC1 like this one, which I am very pleased with. It's great for movies but not so good for stills, so I would recommend a separate digital camera as well.
  • I was hoping for a more solid, bigger size rather than the pocket cams, any ideas?

    Why?

All the size in the older style camcorders was for the tape/dvd and tape mechanism. Now that cams are using memory cards they only need to be big enough for the lens, battery, memory card and the electronics to run them.

We use a Flip video camera for carrying in a pocket for a younger person to use.
We use our digital camera for video rather than carry another device.

You do realise that those 2 camcorders are more or less the same size, the samsung camcorder is only 4.7 inch long. Only real difference is the optical zoom
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j
