Credit report question

Another question I will put to the Halifax if I don't get a positive response to my first letter is why they started reporting late payments on an overdraft that I've never been asked to pay back.0

I think you must pursue this - apart from anything, six late payment markers for a couple of quid is very disproportionate.0

If it was an agreed overdraft I don't see any grounds for reporting late payments either unless they asked you to repay it or withdrew this facility and informed you about this.
Every Halifax current account has a £10 overdraft buffer where you don't pay any fees for using it.I think you must pursue this - apart from anything, six late payment markers for a couple of quid is very disproportionate.
Yeah I'm going to. It's affecting my ability to get the simplest of products (a current account). Well, I'm presuming its that as my credit history has been squeaky clean since 2009 aside from that. What will your verse be?

I've now received my final statement as I closed my account and apparently I last received a bank statement in June 2011, so I maybe should have known I owed them interest. Oops!
I still don't think this justifies the reported late payments as no demand was made to repay, so I will pursue it from that angle. Somebody on another forum I asked the same question on suggested I just ask them to remove the late payment markers as a gesture of goodwill due to the low amount so I might try that. What will your verse be?

Just checked my Experian credit report and it shows that Halifax amended my overdraft limit to £182 in September 2009 and they've posted no more updates, so looks like I definitely had an agreed overdraft facility. That's if my assumption that if they're updating my credit report with apparent late payments every month, they would also update my overdraft limit on there, is correct.
Still awaiting any kind of response from them. If I ring them up I just get hit by a brick wall of 'you closed your account so we can't confirm we have received your letter or when you can expect a response' blah blah blah. I know they have though as I sent it recorded.
Getting a bit impatient now! What will your verse be?

Had a call from a complaints handler today. She agreed that, on the face of it, it looks like I was given incorrect information and she's going to update my credit report so I've been up to date the entire time and send me a £50 cheque to apologise for the trouble it's caused me.
What a result
I've asked her to please put this in writing also when she sends me the cheque but that, so long as this is done, she can consider the complaint dealt with!
Thanks to all who postedWhat will your verse be?
