E car motor insurance

Recently I renewed my car insurance. E car appeared to offer a competitive quote so I signed up and paid my deposit. I then was informed by the other named driver that he had heard very bad press about them so after investigating went in line to cancel the policy. Note this was more that 7 days b4 commencement of policy. All docs were returned to e car indicating cancellation. On day after policy had been due to start rcvd a call from them - informed them cancelled and operative appeared to check and confirmed this was the case. Then I rcvd more e mails sent e mail to ask where my refund of deposit ( less the 25 quid they advise in ts and cs they take if u cancel. Informed policy still live and would need to be cancelled on line. I tried to do this multi times only to get an error message. E mailed again and told they would cancel for me if I told them from when. I responded policy was cancelled prior to start - no further response.

In the interim also received letter from panacea finance relevant to monthly payments - this was returned indicating cancellation within 14 day period. Dd taken but I recalled it. Now I've got another bill from the for 20 quid for failed dd. going round and round AWFUL COMPANY IMPOSSIBLE TI DEAL WITH - AVOID.

Why cancel, You should not listen to rumors, IF you got a great qoute then whats the problem. You will have to get used to online comms and docs but i find this better than mail and phone.

They're are not rumours, they have justifiably earned their reputation
