I have a mortgage in my name only. I have recently decided to get my girlfriend on the mortgage so we will remortgage however will it just be my name on the house deeds still? If so, how do I go about getting us both on the deeds?

Hi, what you could do is to apply to the lender for a 'Transfer of Equity'.
When you apply for this, your girlfriend will go through the underwriting process to see if she is acceptable to the bank as a new borrower.
If she is approved, the lender will issue a letter of consent.
You'll also need a solicitor, who will get a copy of the letter of consent. The solicitor will do the necessary legal work to transfer the property to your joint names. When this is done the solicitor tells the lender, who then transfers the mortgage to your joint names.
You'll have to pay the solicitors fees and also a fee to the lender. By doing this you can stay with the same lender.
If you decide to remortgage with a different lender, you'd need to apply for the mortgage in joint names. The solicitor acting in the remortgage would do the work to transfer the property to joint namesEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Err they will want her on the mortgage and the deeds! Don't know of a lender who will allow her onto a mortgage and not the deeds0

There are a couple of lenders who will allow more borrowers than there are owners, but the norm is for the mortgage borrowers and property owners to be the same.I am a mortgage broker.
