Welcome to the weekend :j
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:
Today I will/have
- have a storecupboard/freezer lunch and dinner
- do 3 mystery shops
- go to poundland to look for cheap packaging for the ebay stuff that ends this weekend
- plant some courgette/tomato plants in the garden
- try and sort out sending an old mobile to envirofone
Have a good day, everyone x

Good morning all, in my quest top become debt free today I will/have
- check online banking to ensure all is well there
- piggy comps and clicks
- post letters to reclaim some unlawful ppi (forgot to do it yesterday)
- do the weekly shopping (with my list, of course)
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Hi all. Pleased with myself yesterday - I was wondering how much I'd spend on fast food with being out all day and not getting home till 11pm. As it turned out, my stomach was really upset (uh, thats not what I'm pleased at!) so all I spent was £1.39 on a cup of tea at my station in London. Then I walked home from my local station (bit scary, but not really) and saved the £10 on a taxi. Felt really good, and I put the money in the tin straight away.
Today...........
- going to a plant sale, hoping to buy quite a few little ones nice and cheap.
- will be doing clicks later on.
- the plant sale is nice and close to the veg market, which I don't usually get to, so my veg will be nice and cheap this week.
- still haven't phoned about my mortgage, oops. Going to do that, then off to the plant sale, and checking back on here later today.
Have a good day, everyone2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
HI all! :hello:
You've all got such good plans today!
I'm going round to a friend's house tonight for a cheap 'pamper' party - I've bought a face pack each from the local cheapie shop already and will be taking the huge amount of 'stuff' I have from previous spending days and also presents etc - like nail varnish, creams, potions etc. Also taking the lasst bits and pieces of alcohol in the house for cheapie cocktails
Sooo:
*Night in with friend using pamper stuff already got & alcohol already got!
*Do pigsback and freefivers clicks
*Do gardening iwth kids, using stuff already got and try to stop the plants from dying!!
* Hang out washing as a good drying day.
*Cook lunch according to menu plan
*Prepare tea to take to friends as then don't have to spend on Chinese takeaway!
Hope you all have a good day -CCCS DMP:Feb 07
