Had to be Germany, eh? As if most of Europe wasn't already peed off enough with them
Maybe they'll insist on sending in accountants. France will say they should share out the points of those at the top in the search for egalite, liberte & fraternite0 -

Obviously it's not a popularity contest, but we've just become more popular that Germany0 -
What michaels said. I can't keep up with this.
Skipped the earlier bits. Liked the Danish song which I heard a few days ago but haven't heard much tonight.
Not flatterd by being represented by Bonnie Tyler, a woman whose musical "charms" always eluded me and whose supposedly mellifluous warblings could easily be trumped by the sound of a dalek coughing down a drainpipe.:(
Ah Denmark have won. My slim vestige of musical taste is feeling more robust.:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Well, I had the show on in the background (cos I thought I should) and that Romanian performance was the only one that made me look up....what was that all about? Def douze points from moi for Romania.
1st time I had heard our song....dear me, not good at all and Bonnie Tyler doesn't seem to have aged at all ...must be all the filler/botrox in her face.
Sorry, CV, I missed Goergia's entry.
I have to say there are some dead hunky men on this show from Eastern Europe...quite a man totty fest.:oPasturesNew wrote: »Spent the last hour or so trying to work out what I want for tea... Can't decide on indian (none come recommended), chinese (only tried one and it was well overpriced and rest don't have menu online), or chip shop. If I go to the chippy I'd like a pie, but they're £2.20 and to buy one at the supermarket (same brand) is £1.70 (£1 at Asda but that's a £2.50 drive away) and then I'd have a cold pie and hot chips, so pie would need heating up and by then the chips'd be cold.
I hate big decisions ....
I'll probably just end up at Lidl and get 1Kg of their frozen chips (67p) and see what pies they've got .......
PN, you need some rawness and veg.....I am going to start nagging you daily I think.lostinrates wrote: »We're trying to sort some boxes out in the study this evening and it occurs to me to ask how many books people have from their childhoods still?
I am wondering if we have an unnatural amount. Dh has a whole box of kids books from the eighties about aviation, for example. I have equal numbers of girly equivalents...like pony stories.
I only seem to have 1 (the about the tiger turning into custard) and all our kids books got passed down but I kept a couple of favourites for them in the loft.
All stress out here in FC Towers.....MIL is def leaving her 2nd husband and he won't pay anthing to help her move out and refuses to give her a share of the house ~(despite her having contributed financially)...together for 15 years and married for 10.
She only gets £90 pwk pension and some DLA £20 I think.
I have done the research on pension credit..she qualifies and when we take him to court for her equity I guess it will reduce as she will then have savings. Mind you that could take 2 or 3 years to conclude.
I found some flats and 1st viewing today; lovely street but cr*ap neglected tiny 1 bed flat with a kitchen out of the 70's and he wants £775pcm. Hopefully Mondays viewing will be better.
So more expense for us and private rent is insane in this area.
OH, myself and his brother will have to fund her until we can apply for some LHA + this pension credit thing but it's going to be expensive.
Couldn't exchange/complete on Margate house last week as turns out the tenant hasn't been given the correct notice and wants a wad of cash from the owner before he will leave.0 -

That's not actually too bad!
It seems strange now, I'll be in Russia at the end of next month, to pick our Junior participant!💙💛 💔0 -

Sorry to hear things aren't going so smoothly, fc. Mother-in-law is lucky to have you lot looking out for her.
Hope the tenant is suitably noticed and moves out asap!0 -

...not relevant but all our money is in DWs name as she doesn't pay tax but only I know what and where and the passwords to access it, I wonder what the legal position would be if I moved it and she claimed I didn't have permission....I think....0 -
Hopefully not spoken from bitter experience...

That's a bloody stupid way to set up your financial arrangements.
No offense intended.
A) The inland revenue isn't stupid and
b) If she died tomorrow, you might not be able to access the money for months.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
