Hello Teecee. Reading your story made me cry a bit. It also brought to mind the words of the song"Lean on me". You know the lyrics when it goes:-
    Lean on me
    When your not strong
    I'll be your friend
    I''ll help you carry on
    Cos it won't be long
Before I need someone to lean on. (or something like that)
It sounds like you have helped carry your brother (as any kind caring sister would), and now its his turn to help you. Also by telling your story you may be helping someone else. Keep in touch and tell yourself what a wonderful person you are, you must be to have such a lovely brother.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

hi i don't think i can really add anything that hasn't already been said - i think that what this highlights is how supportive this site is but also the burden of debt as as you said, the relief of sharing.

it sounds like you and your brother have a great relationship, sometimes even better when these things are out in the open. A recent family member of mine had an awful time with worry, it really came to a head and we had an awful time, but having it out in the open has made everyone rally around and we are closer than ever too, and again for this person, a tremendous relief.

you obviously have lots of support here - and have contributed lots too - which seems to be reflected in the 2-way relationship with your brother,

    good luck with everything

Thank you all so much for your lovely words and kind wishes:A

I realise just how lucky I am and now feel so much better for having shared my burden a little. It will take around ten years to repay my debts but with the help of all you fantastic people on this site and my wonderful brother I'm sure I will succeed and now when times get tough I don't feel I have to face them alone.

Once again thank you all so much you are all fab!!!:T

Teecee, have you posted your SOA anywhere on this board? We might be able to help you get your debt free date down from ten years. We're all in the same position, so can offer lots of useful bits of advice and, of course, support.

It'll be like having lots of little brothers! :p
