Just thought I'd share an interesting exchange from UKPC that I received recently....
My gym is in a retail park with car parking 'enforced' by UKPC and they insist you get a ticket even though 3 hours parking is free! I displayed said ticket on my dashboard as normal just to avoid hassle of threatograms and was very surprised to have a ticket when I returned from the gym. Normally I'd just ignore it but was riled so took a photo of valid ticket clearly displayed and emailed the appeal to UKPC. You could even see my ticket in their photographic evidence!!!
I received a reply a few days ago assuring me that the head of appeals had personally reviewed my case (a new one for me) and decided that the PCN was correctly issued! HOWEVER, having taken my arguments into consideration they were willing to reduce the charge to £15 if paid within 14 days!! I seriously could not believe their balls!! Safe to say any future letters will go straight where they belong!!

Yep ignore them, keep the ticket you got and the letters you'll doubtless get in a spam drawer or if you want to cost them £32 by using popla come back here for more info When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum. or if you want to cost them £32 by using popla come back here for more info When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

That would make a great POPLA appeal.
In fact, did they send you an appeal form and code?Je Suis Cecil.0

No they didn't send a POPLA form. I forgot to mention that I'd thrown in the POPLA £32 threat in my appeal email! Sadly I don't have their reply anymore either as I binned it!!0

I would wait until 35 days has expired since they would have received you appeal - give it a couple of days more then simply send another email saying they are stuffed because they failed to provide a POPLA code within the BPA AOS code deadline.
In fact UKPC have never done Court so you are safe, but this is a good final way to draw a line under it and annoy them as well!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
