Hi All,
When I start my computer up it runs so slow that I need to leave the room for an hour to calm down and wait for it to sort itself out. Opening programs is a nightmare and it is now effecting my connection speeds, I think!!
Anyway a used a program called RegCure which found over 700 problems. To remove all of these I had to download the software for $40.
Is there anyway I can clean up my PC and sort out all its problems to improve its speed without spending money, or is there a cheaper way?
Please Help its driving me crazy!!

Use the free trial version of the excellent Tuneup utilites 2007 to sort out your registry.
Its has many other options on it aswell such as reg defrag and startup programs disabling amonst others.
Download and use the free "ccleaner" software which will clear the crap from your pc.
run a defrag and using add/remove delete all the programs you never use.
make sure your windows, antivirus and spyware programs are up-to date and run full scans to check nothing on the pc.0 -
You could run RegCure on a brand new PC with a newly installed OS on it and RegCure would still find more problems than there are entries in the registry files - I wonder why?
Try CCCleaner and go hunting for viruses and, more likely, spyware before you go mucking about in the registry - I am an ICT Tech' and even I don't go there unless I know I have to. And even then I set a System Restore point, then go in armed with a manual, plus a notepad and pen to write things down before I change them! The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

regcure is a "rogue" bit of software that "finds" problems then asks you to pay to fix them...it's a con !!!
