G24 Limited and Advantis Credit

Looking at it rationally, once you have received their letter, if you send them proof that you were within the timeframe, they are going to realise it is a lost cause and that they have no realistic chance of getting any money from it.
Their business acumen - assuming they have any - will kick in and any more time spent on your case represents a loss to them, so that should see off the worrying phone calls.
At least it would in any sane business.0 -

Good point, thanks. Not sure any of these associated are sane businesses, but will do as has been suggested and respond to Advantis credit. The other company CCS hasn't contacted me for 6 months or so anyway.0 -

By the way, that letter chain from that debt collector is a new one so please take scans of the new letter chain and submit them to pepipoo on this link (or to Crabman on MSE and ask if he can please liaise with pepipoo if you don't want to register there as well):
I have messaged Crabman. Thanks.0 -
After emailing the head of customer services at Wickes one of their people called me and he was really helpful. He was apologetic about what had happened. I really think they should reassess who they use. He called them straight away and told them to cease all contact. They said that they had 'farmed' it out to someone else; CCS, but I explained to him that it had since been passed to Advantis. We'll see if the calls stop now, but he's given me his number if they don't.
Thanks for all the helpful advice on here.0
